Submitting Proposals
Participation in Ten Days on the Island is by invitation only. Ten Days on the Island is a curated programme and invitations to participate are issued by the Artistic Director. It is very unusual for unsolicited proposals to be successful in their application, due to the specific programming requirements of each Ten Days on the Island.We strongly suggest that before you submit an application, you look at the 2011 programme to gain an understanding of the type of work that is programmed. Ten Days on the Island aims to present contemporary work rather than folkloric performance, material that explores connections with other island cultures, and artists from or concerned with the island experience. In the case of Australian artists Ten Days also generally presents work which has not had a prior seasons in Tasmania.
Companies and artists wishing to be considered for presentation in the 2013 edition of Ten Days on the Island should send biographical material, reviews, financial information, DVDs, videos, CDs and a current touring schedule for consideration, to the address below.
Do not send master copies of CDs, DVDs and videos as they will be held on file. Ten Days on the Island does not return materials as a matter of policy. If special circumstances apply, you may collect materials by arranging this with reception prior to submitting the proposal.
Please be aware that due to the large volume of submissions received, we cannot respond to every submission. However, all submissions are reviewed by the Programming team and if your submission is being considered for inclusion in the 2013 event we will be in contact with you.
