Who we are

For ten thrilling days every two years, Ten Days on the Island, Tasmania’s state-wide biennial multi art-form festival is unleashed across the island. A unique event in Australia, Ten Days is the premier celebration of culture in Tasmania. With over 260 events in 111 venues in over 60 locations, the 2011 event impacted on the lives of 155,000 Tasmanians and visitors.

Theatre, dance, visual arts, music, film, opera, literature. Indoors and outdoors. Ticketed and free. With artists and performers from island cultures across the globe, coupled with the cream of Tasmanian and Australian artists, the Ten Days programme has something to offer everyone. From Franklin to Flinders Island, Strahan to St Helens, Ten Days is truly a Tasmania-wide celebration.

The 2013 programme will be launched in late 2012. If you would like to be kept informed of Ten Days activities by email, sign up for our newsletter here.
